2020 Liberty Flames Football - FAQ

Liberty Athletics has announced updated ticket and capacity numbers in anticipation of the 2020 Liberty Football season. Per Governor Northam's Phase 3 requirements, occupancy is limited to 50% of the occupancy load on the certificate of occupancy or a maximum of 1000 patrons, whichever is less. The following are answers to frequently asked questions regarding reduced seating capacity at Williams Stadium for the 2020 season. 

1. Why was a decision made to go to a reduced capacity model?
To comply with government regulations and provide for fan safety, Liberty Athletics has established a reduced capacity model.

2. What will the capacity be for Williams Stadium this fall?
At this time, per Virginia Governor, Ralph Northam's Phase 3 requirements, capacity is limited to 1,000 patrons. 

3. What changes will COVID-19 have on attending games at Williams Stadium?
Flames Fans will have socially distanced seating, digital tickets, increased sanitation, and concessions through your phone. Additional information will be made available soon on www.libertyflames.com/gameday

4. What do these changes mean for season tickets?
For the 2020 season, there will be no season tickets in general seating areas. Tickets will available by request on an individual game basis. Suite and Club ticket holders have been sent specific information regarding their ticket options. In the coming days, members of the Flames Club and Ticket Office staff will be contacting each season ticket holder to address their tickets and options for the season.

5. What happens if I have purchased season tickets?
Season ticket holders are being contacted by the Flames Club and Ticket Office regarding options related to their season tickets. Season ticket holders have been emailed information regarding their tickets. Capacity and venue restrictions have required significant adjustments to previous seating models. Season ticket holders will have the option to purchase tickets on a single-game basis. These individuals will be provided with three opportunities for their current ticket balance.
 
  • Reignite - Convert the cost of their season tickets to an Annual Fund donation for the 2020 year to support our 550 student-athletes from our 20 NCAA teams. Fans will receive triple loyalty points for 2020 (3 points for every $100 of season ticket value donated) for donations exceeding their current pledge. All current Flames Club Members who donate their season tickets will have their membership level increased if their donation takes them to another giving level. 
  • Rollover - Convert the payment of their 2020 season tickets to 2021 season tickets, locking in the same prices as 2020 for the 2021 season.
  • Refund - Receive a full refund for your season ticket purchase.

6. What happens to Flames Club consecutive year season ticket holder points?
Any 2019 season ticket holder who joins the Flames Club at any level for 2020, will be awarded the 2020 season ticket holder point, and maintain consecutive year point status.

7. Is there a deadline for a decision on my season tickets?
Yes. All season ticket holders must make a decision by September 8. Any remaining season tickets on that date will be converted into a donation.

8. Is my Flames Club donation refundable?
Flames Club donations are non-refundable. In addition to supporting the mission of Training Champions for Christ in all sports, Flames Club donations carry benefits across all 20 NCAA sports.

9. Who will be able to request individual game tickets?
Flames Club members and 2020 season ticket holders will be prioritized to request single game tickets. 

10. How many single-game tickets can I get? 
Single-game ticket information will be emailed out at a later time. 

11. When will single-game tickets be available for purchase?
We anticipate announcing single-game ticket availability 10-12 days prior to each game. 

12. Will tickets be available to the public to purchase?
Tickets will only be available to request for season ticket holders and Flames Club members. While we do not anticipate any additional on-sales for the 2020 season, any information will be released on www.libertyflames.com if the Governor expands the allowable seating capacity. 

13. I have a Kid's Club Membership, how does this affect me?
Kid's Club members have been emailed directly with information concerning their memberships.

14. I purchased tickets for Fall Family Weekend or Homecoming Weekend, will those be refunded?
As of right now, we are unsure what the capacity of Williams Stadium will be at for those games. The Flames Ticket Office will be in contact with families and alumni who have already purchased tickets to the Homecoming and Fall Family Weekend games once a decision has been made.

15. If I am awarded tickets, will I have my same seat locations?
Given the reduced capacity, many of the seats in William Stadium will not be used for the 2020 season. As tickets are being assigned based on priority point total, it is possible that your usual seats will not be available and your new locations for the 2020 season may vary greatly from where you sit in a normal year at Williams Stadium.

16. If I do not have my season tickets for 2020 how can I attend games?
Only season ticket holders and Flames Club members will have the ability to request games for the 2020 season that they wish to attend.

17. How will my tickets be delivered?
All tickets will be delivered via digital delivery (mobile or print-at-home) the week of the game.

18. What if my phone is not able to use mobile tickets?
While any smartphone that has internet access can load a mobile ticket or save a mobile ticket to your Google Pay or Apple Wallet app, patrons that are unable to do so can select the print-at-home option and print the tickets in advance of arriving at the game.

19. Does this apply to Club and Suite tickets as well?
Physical tickets will still be provided to individuals in the Club and Suite areas. All other areas will have digital tickets.

20. As a Flames Club Member, do I still get parking?
All Flames Club members who qualify for season parking passes will receive single game parking passes based upon their individual game requests. 

21. Are all parking passes digital?
Club and suite passes will be physical passes. All other lots provided by the Flames Club will be digital. 

22. How will Liberty Students be handled?
Enrolled students will receive an email notification regarding the updated policies for the 2020 football season when more information is available. 

23. Will student guest tickets be available for 2020?
Student guest tickets will not be available for 2020. Only Liberty students will be allowed into the student section.
